The concept at first glance might sound bizarre but the promoters of E-Inn, a new addition to the list of business accommodation in the city, say they will set a trend. The hotel does not serve alcohol and serves only vegetarian cuisine, and bans smo king on its premises.
A definite break from prevailing trends in the hospitality sector, the factor that led to the decision is said to be health. The owners say they want to set a benchmark only in terms of service and promote a healthy lifestyle among working executives.
E-Inn is a nine-storey 252-room hotel conveniently tucked just off Hosur Road at Electronics City. The architecture and the interiors of the building are inspired by Tudor architecture, and is thus lavishly done up in wood.
It claims many highlights, with the first being individual air conditioning units.
A central air conditioning system has been avoided to ostensibly ensure “a steady supply of fresh air” and ensure each guest can have control over the temperature setting.
There are the standard banquet halls and business centre, and there is free high speed Internet and wi-fi.
Their restaurant Amal serves Indian cuisine while the 24-hour coffee shop serves buffet lunches and dinners with a continental breakfast. A rooftop restaurant will soon be operational. The tea lounge Hi-T serves a range of baked products that are said to be egg-free.
The clincher at the hotel is the shallow infinity swimming pool located on the terrace. One side of the pool ends right at the edge of the terrace giving an impression that it extends forever. A spa will also soon become operational next to the pool. Rooms are either single or double occupancy but are charged the same tariff. They are minimalist keeping in mind it is a business ambience. At present 100 of the 252 rooms are ready for occupation.
